The AZDome PG01 is an entry-level mirror dashcam from AZDome. The mirror dashcam is placed over the rearview mirror in the car and is equipped with a camera on the front and rear so that both sides are recorded. The mirror has a built-in high quality 5.5 inch LCD Touchscreen which ensures that the dashcam can be easily operated.
The AZDome PG01 is a uniquely designed 2CH mirror dashcam. Because it is placed over the rearview mirror, it is hardly noticeable from the outside. Images are displayed in the 5.5 inch Touchscreen.
With its handy design and additional rear camera, the AZDome PG01 is also ideal for use as a parking aid when parking. The rear camera comes with an extra cable that can be connected to the power supply of the reversing light. When the car is put into reverse, it automatically displays the rear camera image together with parking aid indicators.
The AZDome PG01 Mirror films with sharp 1080p resolution in 30fps front and 720p 30fps in the back, so many details such as license plates and people are recognizable in the picture. The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long 6 meter cable and also receives power through this cable, so no extra power supply is needed.
With the optional GPS module for the AZDome PG01, the real-time coordinates are tracked and the speed is also displayed on the screen. With the special software from AZDome the locations of recorded images can be displayed on the computer later.
The AZDome PG01 Mirror dashcam supports MicroSD cards up to 64gb, this allows about 12 hours of FullHD filming.
The PG01 Mirror dashcam has a wide-angle lens of 120 degrees at the front and 120 degrees at the rear. This allows you to record a large area around the car, especially at the front.
The AZDome PG01 Mirror dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to worry about it anywhere as soon as it is mounted in the car.
With the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you have had an accident. On impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are not lost. They can not be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The PG01 Mirror dashcam has a convenient parking mode function to secure the car when parked. In parking mode, the camera automatically turns on when a vibration is detected and then starts recording.
Please note that for use in parking mode, a Mini USB Hardwire kit is required to power the camera when the ignition is turned off. The hardwire kit also ensures that the car battery does not run out due to the built-in protection.
Besides the ability to film, the PG01 Mirror also has the option to take photos in 12 megapixels. This can be useful, for example to record the damage after an accident.
The AZDome PG01 Mirror dashcam has a built-in microphone so that sound is recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on screen so that later it can be shown at what time the respective recordings were made.
The AZDome dashcam comes with a handy Dual USB cigarette plug and separate power cable. In the plug there are two USB ports, one of which is used to power the dashcam. The other USB port can be used for charging other devices such as your smartphone.
