The Gnet G-ON3 Truck is the perfect dashcam for any truck or camper. The front camera films the road in perfect image quality and the interior and rear camera keep an eye on the cabin and behind the truck. The Cloud option also allows remote Live monitoring of the dashcam. Furthermore, this G-ON3 Truck is equipped with Wifi and GPS and comes standard with 128gb Micro SD card and Continuous power supply.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck films with sharp QuadHD on the front and FullHD on the sides. By using high-quality SONY Starvis image sensors, the picture is of the highest quality even in the dark.
This Truck version of the G-ON3 comes with two FullHD waterproof cameras for the sides of the truck. The two side cameras are connected to the front dashcam with the supplied 5-metre cables and all dashcam record simultaneously. The images are stored separately on the SD card. Optionally, a 19-meter cable for the rear camera is available for mounting on the back of the cargo box or trailer. This then serves as a replacement for one of the side cameras.
The best thing about this Gnet G-ON3 Truck is the ability to connect to the dashcam from anywhere in the world. You can connect the Gnet G-ON3 Truck to the Internet via an in-car Wifi hotspot. Via the WithCloud App, you can then watch live footage of the dashcam and receive notifications of events. This allows you to always keep an eye on your car, wherever you are.
With the optionally available SIM Wifi adapter (see accessories) you can easily create a Wifi hotspot in the car. You put a SIM card with mobile data subscription in the SIM adapter and connect it in the car via USB. You then simply connect the Gnet G-ON3 Truck to the Wifi network via the App so that the dashcam is connected to the Internet.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck is connected to the Wifi network via the App.
The WithCloud system is accessible via the App or PC and is a comprehensive Fleet management system with the following options:
- Live streaming of images
- Live GPS tracking
- Parking mode notifications
- Driver reports (driving time, behavior, etc.)
- Geo-fencing (virtual location Barrier)
The free WithCloud account allows unlimited Live remote viewing and has 2GB Cloud storage. You can also review up to 10 minutes of saved footage; footage is stored for up to 2 days. For unlimited access and more storage, paid subscriptions are available starting at $10 per month.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck is equipped with Wifi to allow images within about 10 meters to be viewed on the phone. Through the freely available app, images can be viewed and downloaded so there is no need to remove the SD card from the camera. By viewing the files via Wifi instead of the Cloud, you do not lose any data via the Sim card.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck comes with an external GPS receiver. Through this GPS module, the speed can be displayed in the image and, in addition, the coordinates of the places where filming was done are kept. This makes it possible to see later with the supplied software exactly where certain recordings were made.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck has a convenient automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when it is parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes two photos every second and later plays it back as accelerated video.
Because of the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and thus can be recorded for a very long time without filling up the SD card. Combined with the included Continuous power supply, the parking mode automatically turns on when the car's ignition is turned off and normal recording starts again when the car is started.
In order to use the parking mode, the dashcam must be connected using the supplied Continuous power supply. As a result, the Gnet G-ON3 Truck dashcam has a built-in low voltage cut-off system. Because of this system, the dashcam senses when the car's battery is in danger of running low and, in that case, immediately turns off the camera. So you don't have to worry about ending up with a dead battery. The voltage can be set via the App or PC viewer to 11.3/11.5/11.8/12.0/12.3V.
The ADAS 2.0 system on this Gnet G-ON3 Truck is a built-in "Advanced Driver Assistant System. This system supports the driver while driving in three ways:
FCWS: "Forward Collision Warning System. This system issues a warning when a car in front is approached at high speed. For example, the system alerts when there is a traffic jam in front of the car. With a good GPS signal, the current speed is known and the camera can make a good assessment of the situation around the car.
LDWS: 'Lane Departure Warning System'. Wanneer de auto op de snelweg truck rijbaan dreigt te veranderen kan de camera een signaal geven.
FVSA: 'Forward Vehicle Start Alarm'. Let je ook weleens niet op als je voor het stoplicht staat? This system alerts you when a vehicle ahead starts to move away, such as at a stoplight or in a traffic jam.
*The ADAS system works better in some locations than others depending on the type of (highway) road. On narrow roads, for example, the LDWS system can issue an alert faster than on wide roads. Our personal experience is that on European roads the system often issues an alert too quickly, which can sometimes be perceived as a nuisance.
The G-ON3 Truck's camera rotates 90 degrees and can therefore always be properly aimed at the road.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck supports MicroSD cards up to 512gb, making it unique. It comes standard with a 128gb Micro SD card, this is good for about 24 hours of FullHD recordings (with rear and interior camera about 3x 8 hours).
As an alternative to the standard Continuous Power Supply supplied, it is also possible to connect the G-ON3 Truck with the Plug&Play OBD plug. You simply plug the connector into the OBD input of the car and after connecting it, the G-ON3 Truck automatically switches on and off from parking mode when you turn the car's ignition on and off.
The G-ON3 Truck can also be connected to the continuous power supply.
It is also possible to use the optionally available cigarette power supply for easier installation. With this, the dashcam will automatically turn on and off with the car's ignition. Please note that parking mode using the cigarette power supply will therefore no longer work.
If you don't want to connect the dashcam to the car's fuse box but still want to use parking mode, it's best to use the OBD power supply mentioned above or a Cellink Battery pack (see accessories). This allows you to easily provide the dashcam with power when the car is parked.
This Gnet G-ON3 Truck has a 140-degree wide-angle lens on the front and sides. This captures a large area around the truck.
This Gnet G-ON3 Truck stores the super sharp video footage on the SD card with the latest H.265 HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). In short, this means that the dashcam uses less memory than other FullHD dashcams. So the files are of the best quality but do not take up too much memory on the MicroSD card.
Because of the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you've been in an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The Gnet G-ON3 Truck has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on screen so that later it can be shown at what time the respective recordings were made.
