The Gnet G-ON4 is perhaps the best Cloud dashcam on the market today. This dashcam is packed with gadgets and also comes very complete. It films at the sharpest True 4K (3840p) resolution on the front and FullHD on the back. The Cloud feature also makes it possible to watch along with the dashcam live from anywhere in the world or receive notifications when something happens around your car.
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud films at the sharpest Ultra 4K (3840p) resolution. By using the SONY Starvis 8.0MP image sensor, the images are of exceptionally good quality especially in the dark. The rear camera films at FullHD and they both record in 30fps (frames per second).
The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long supplied 6-meter cable and also receives power through this cable, so no additional power supply is needed. A 9-meter cable for the rear camera is available for longer vehicles (see accessories).
The best thing about this Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud is the ability to connect to the dashcam from anywhere in the world. You can connect the Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud to the Internet via an in-car WiFi hotspot. Through the WithCloud App, you can then watch live from the dashcam and receive notifications of events. This allows you to always keep an eye on your car, wherever you are.
With the optional SIM Wifi adapter (see accessories) you can easily create a Wifi hotspot in the car. You insert a SIM card with mobile data plan into the SIM adapter and connect it in the car via USB. You then simply connect the Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud to the Wifi network via the App so that the dashcam is connected to the Internet.
Accessible via the App or PC, the WithCloud system is a comprehensive Fleet management system with the following options:
- Live streaming of images
- Live GPS tracking
- Parking mode notifications
- Driver reports (driving time, behavior, etc.)
- Geo-fencing (virtual location Barrier).
The free WithCloud account allows unlimited Live remote viewing and has 2GB of Cloud storage. You can also review up to 10 minutes of saved footage, the footage is stored for up to 2 days. For unlimited access and more storage, paid subscriptions are available starting at $10 per month.
Wifi
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud is equipped with Wifi to allow images within about 10 meters to be viewed on the phone. Through the freely available app, images can be viewed and downloaded so there is no need to remove the SD card from the camera. By viewing the files via Wifi instead of the Cloud, you don't lose data via the Sim card.
Built-in GPS
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud has a built-in GPS receiver. Through this GPS module, the speed can be displayed in the image and also the coordinates of the places where filming is done are kept. This makes it possible to later use the supplied software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud has a convenient automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when it is parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes two photos every second and this is later played back as accelerated video. In case of an impact, a normal video will be started so you can be sure that all the details of the incident are visible. In case of an impact during parking mode, you will receive a notification the moment you start the car. This allows you to secure the video file in question.
Due to the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and thus can be recorded for a very long time without filling up the SD card. In combination with the supplied Continuous power supply, the parking mode automatically turns on when the car ignition is turned off and normal recording starts again when the car is started.
To use parking mode, the dashcam must be connected with the supplied Continuous power supply. Because of this, the Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud dashcam has a built-in low voltage cut-off system. Because of this system, the dashcam detects when the car's battery is about to run out of power and, in that case, immediately turns off the camera. So you don't have to worry about ending up with a dead battery. The voltage can be set via the App or PC viewer to 11.3/11.5/11.8/12.0/12.3V. If the dashcam is turned off during park mode by the low-voltage protection you will receive a notification the moment you start the car. This lets you know that not the entire parking session has been captured.
The ADAS 2.0 system on this Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud is a built-in "Advanced Driver Assistant System. This system supports the driver while driving in three ways:
FCWS: Forward Collision Warning System. This system issues a warning when a car in front is approached at high speed. The system alerts, for example, when there is a traffic jam in front of the car. With a good GPS signal, the current speed is known and the camera can make a good assessment of the situation around the car.'
LDWS: "Lane Departure Warning System. When the car is in danger of changing lanes on the highway, the camera can send a signal.
FVSA: "Forward Vehicle Start Alarm. Do you also sometimes pay no attention when standing at the traffic light? This system alerts you when a vehicle ahead starts to move away, such as at a traffic light or in a traffic jam.
*The ADAS system works better in some locations than others depending on the type of (highway) road. On narrow roads, for example, the LDWS system can sound an alarm faster than on wide roads. Our personal experience is that on European roads the system is often too quick to issue an alert. As a result, the system can sometimes be perceived as a disturbance
The dashcam comes standard with a "tamper proof" SD slot that you can open with a small allen key provided. This ensures that the videos always remain on the SD card and no one can access the files.
The camera of the G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud can be rotated 90 degrees, so it can always be pointed properly at the road.
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud supports MicroSD cards up to 512gb. It comes standard with a 64gb Micro SD card, this is good for about 8 hours of 4K recording (with rear camera about 6 hours).
As an alternative to the standard continuous power supply supplied, it is also possible to connect the G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud with the Plug&Play OBD plug. You simply plug the connector into the car's OBD input and after connecting it, the G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud automatically switches on and off from parking mode when you turn the car's ignition on and off.
It is also possible to use the optionally available cigarette power supply for easier installation. With this, the dashcam will automatically turn on and off with the car's ignition. Please note that parking mode using the cigarette power supply will therefore no longer work.
If you do not want to connect the dashcam to the car's fuse box but still want to use parking mode, you should use the OBD power supply mentioned above or a Cellink Battery pack (see accessories). This allows you to easily power the dashcam when the car is parked.
This Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud has a wide-angle lens of 140 degrees in the front and 140 in the back. This captures a large area around the car without distorting the image too much.
Because of the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you've been in an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The Gnet G-ON4 2CH 4K Cloud has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The actual time and date are always displayed on the screen so that it can later be shown at what time the corresponding recordings were made.
