The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD is the latest dashcam from the reliable Gnet range. With the G-ONX, Gnet concerns a super compact but very reliable basic dashcam on the market. It films with the sharp FullHD (30fps) resolution on the front and FullHD on the back. The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD comes standard with a 32gb SD card and supports SD cards with up to 512gb.
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi films with the sharp FullHD (30fps) resolution. By using the SONY Starvis image sensor, the images are of exceptionally good quality especially in the dark. The rear camera films with FullHD and they both record in 30fps (frames per second). The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long supplied 6 meter cable and also receives power through this cable, so no additional power supply is needed.
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi is equipped with Wifi to allow images within about 10 meters to be viewed on the phone. Through the freely available Gnet app, images can be viewed and downloaded so there is no need to remove the SD card from the camera. By viewing the files via Wifi instead of the you won't lose any data via the Sim card.
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi can be expanded with an external GPS receiver. By connecting the GPS to the camera, the current speed can be displayed on screen and the coordinates of the places filmed can be viewed back. Later, the route taken can then be viewed on the PC with the supplied Net viewer
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi has a convenient automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes two pictures every second and this is later played back as accelerated video. In case of an impact, a normal video will be started so you can be sure that all the details of the incident are visible. In case of an impact during parking mode, you will receive a notification the moment you start the car. This allows you to secure the video file in question.
Because of the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and thus can be recorded for a very long time without filling up the SD card. Combined with the included Continuous power supply, the parking mode automatically turns on when the car's ignition is turned off and the normal recording starts again when the car is started.
In order to use the parking mode, the dashcam must be connected with the supplied Continuous power supply. As a result, the Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi dashcam has a built-in low voltage cut-off system. Because of this system, the dashcam senses when the car battery is about to run out of power and, in that case, immediately turns off the camera. So you don't have to worry about ending up with a dead battery. The voltage can be set via the App or PC viewer to 11.3/11.5/11.8/12.0/12.3V. If the dashcam is turned off during park mode by the low-voltage protection you will receive a notification the moment you start the car. This lets you know that not the entire parking session has been captured.
The ADAS 2.0 system on this Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi is a built-in Advanced Driver Assistant System. This system supports the driver while driving in three ways:
FCWS: "Forward Collision Warning System. This system issues a warning when a car in front is approached at high speed. For example, the system alerts when there is a traffic jam in front of the car. With a good GPS signal, the current speed is known and the camera can make a good assessment of the situation around the car.
LDWS: "Lane Departure Warning System. When the car is in danger of changing lanes on the highway, the camera can signal.
FVSA: 'Forward Vehicle Start Alarm'. Do you also sometimes fail to pay attention when you're at the traffic light? This system alerts you when a vehicle ahead starts to pull away, such as at a stoplight or in a traffic jam.
*The ADAS system works better in some locations than others depending on the type of (highway) road. On narrow roads, for example, the LDWS system can issue an alert faster than on wide roads. Our personal experience is that on European roads the system often issues an alert too quickly, which can sometimes be perceived as a nuisance.
It is also possible to use the optionally available cigarette power supply for easier installation. With this, the dashcam will automatically turn on and off with the car's ignition. Please note that parking mode using the cigarette power supply will therefore no longer work.
If you don't want to connect the dashcam to the car's fuse box but still want to use parking mode, you can also decide to use a Cellink Battery pack (see accessories). This allows you to easily power the dashcam when the car is parked.
This Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi has a wide-angle lens of 140 degrees in the front and 140 in the back. This captures a large area around the car without distorting the image too much.
This Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi saves the super sharp video footage to the SD card with H.264 HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). In short, this means that the dashcam uses less memory than other FullHD dashcams. So the files are of the best quality but do not take up too much memory on the MicroSD card.
Because of the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you've been in an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi supports SD cards of up to 512gb and comes standard with a 32gb Micro SD card, this is good for about 8 hours of FullHD recording (with rear camera about 6 hours).
The Gnet G-ONX 2CH FullHD Wifi has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on screen so that it can later be shown at what time the relevant recordings were made.
