The KENWOOD DRV-A100 is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can shut down properly after the power is cut. Super capacitor batteries have been specially developed for use in dash cams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and are more resistant to high and low temperatures. Please note that due to the use of a super capacitor the dashcam CANNOT be used without a power source and immediately switches off when the power is turned off.

The date, time and license plate number can be displayed at the bottom of each video of the KENWOOD DRV-A100. This makes it easier for fleet managers to see which recordings were made with which vehicles. This also can be of decisive importance in assessing situations and determining the cause of an accident by the police or insurance company.
