The Nanocam M19 is perhaps the best and most complete budget dashcam on the market. This dashcam lets you film both in front and behind the car through the included rear camera. The Nanocam M19 is a piece of cake to install due to the included suction cup and sticker attachment. The Dual USB charger gives you an extra USB port to charge your phone, and it comes with 32gb Micro SD card so you can start filming straight away.
The Nanocam M19 films with FullHD recordings on the front and VGA on the back. The rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with the supplied 6-metre cable and they record simultaneously. The image is clear enough to bring people and license plates into view recognisably. The Nanocam M19 is therefore the ideal witness for in your car.
The rear camera has an extra cable that you can connect to the power supply of the car's reversing lights. In that case, when you put the car in reverse, the four LEDs light up and the image from the rear camera is displayed large on the LCD screen. The M19 thus simultaneously acts as a handy parking camera.
The Nanocam M19 comes with a suction cup and sticker holder so you can easily mount it in any car. If you use the dashcam in one car, the self-adhesive holder is often the best option. It stays a bit more firmly in place and ensures less vibration in the image. The suction cup holder is more convenient if you want to use the dashcam in several cars or prefer to remove it from the car when parking.
The Nanocam M19 comes standard with a 32gb Micro SD card so you can start recording right away. The Nanocam M19 also supports larger Micro SD cards up to 64gb. Around 2 to 3 hours of FullHD videos can be stored on the 32gb card included.
Please note: When using a larger SD card, it should always be formatted in the camera's menu, otherwise the message 'Memory error' or 'Memory error' will appear. Always use a fast SD card of an A-brand (Samsung, Sandisk, Kingston etc.).
The bright 3.0-inch LCD screen makes the Nanocam M19 very user-friendly and makes adjustment a breeze. On the screen, you can easily operate the menu (also in Dutch) and view live and saved videos. The screen automatically turns off after 3 minutes of driving by the built-in screensaver (can be switched off) so as not to bother you too much while driving.
To enhance image quality and reduce reflections in the image, you can expand the Nanocam M19 with the optional universal CPL filter (see accessories). This filter acts like Polaroid sunglasses for the lens and can be useful in sunny conditions.
The Nanocam M19 is equipped with a parking mode with motion detection. When you turn this feature on, the dashcam goes into a standby mode until a movement around the car is recorded. In that case, a short 30-second recording begins after which the dashcam returns to standby. Note that this function requires a separate continuous power supply to power the dashcam when the ignition is switched off. For normal recording while driving, it is better to turn off the mode.
In addition to motion detection, the Nanocam M19 also has a 'standard' parking mode. When this function is turned on, the dashcam (when off) will turn on when there is a vibration and record a short 30-second video. This function only works when the internal battery is sufficiently charged.
The Nanocam M19 comes with a handy Dual USB cigarette plug with separate 3.3-metre-long USB cable. You can therefore use the extra USB port to charge your phone or other accessory.
With loop recording, all recordings are saved in shorter fragments of 1, 2, 3 or 5 minutes. Once the SD card is full, the oldest videos are automatically deleted and overwritten for new recordings. As a result, the last rides are always stored on the SD card. When a tilling occurs, the current file will be protected so it cannot be overwritten automatically.
This M19 has a 170˚ wide-angle lens on the front and 140˚ on the back. This captures a very large area around the car.
The Nanocam M19 dashcam starts filming automatically as soon as power is applied to its power supply. So simply connect it with the car charger and you have nothing else to worry about. If your car supplies permanent power via the cigarette power supply, it is wiser to use the permanent power supply to save the car's battery.
Through the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam records collisions or violent vibrations. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are no longer lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The Nanocam M19 has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can be easily switched on and off at the touch of a button.
The date, time and license plate number can be displayed at the bottom of each video. This way, it can later be clearly seen where, when and with which vehicle recordings were made.
