The Nanocam M27 2K is a super compact but high-quality dashcam with exceptional value for money. It is equipped with almost all possible features including Wifi, GPS and comprehensive and automatic parking protection (when combined with the optional permanent power supply). It films in very sharp 2K QuadHD resolution and there is the option to connect a FullHD rear camera. It also comes with a 32gb Micro SD card and multi-language menu and manual so you can get started right away.
Please note: The Nanocam M27 is not suitable for trucks or buses with a straight windscreen due to its angled mount.
The Nanocam M27 is equipped with the powerful Sony Starvis 2K image sensor that also performs phenomenally in the dark. This high resolution of 1440p together with the 30fps (frames per second) ensures that license plates, people and situations are clearly visible. The resolution can also be set lower to save space on the SD card.
The optional Nanocam NR03 rear camera (not included as standard) allows you to record behind the car as well. The rear camera films at FullHD 30fps resolution is easily connected to the front dashcam. It is connected with a long 6-metre cable and the videos are simultaneously stored on the SD card. Using the rear camera also turns your Nanocam into an ideal parking camera. For this, there is a separate connection on the rear camera that you can connect to the power supply of the reversing lights.
The Nanocam M27 2K comes standard with a 32gb Micro SD card so you can start recording right away. The Nanocam M27 also supports larger Micro SD cards up to 128gb. A 128gb card can store about 10 to 12 hours of video in 2K QuadHD.
Please note: When using a larger SD card, it should always be formatted in the camera's menu, otherwise the message 'Memory error' or 'Memory error' will appear. Always use a fast SD card of an A-brand (Samsung, Sandisk, Kingston etc.).
The bright 3.0-inch LCD screen makes the Nanocam M27 very user-friendly and makes adjustment a breeze. On the screen, you can easily operate the menu and view live and saved videos. The screen automatically turns off after 3 minutes of driving by the built-in screensaver (can be switched off) so as not to bother you too much while driving.
The Nanocam M27 is equipped with Wifi making it super easy to view live and saved footage via your smartphone. Wifi allows you to log in to the dashcam within range of the dashcam (+/- 5 metres) and control it via your phone. This eliminates the need to remove the SD card from the camera to view images. The Nanocam M27 uses the KaCam App for iOS (Apple) and Android phones and tablets.
The M27 2K has a built-in GPS receiver. The GPS allows the speed to be displayed at the bottom of the videos and keeps track of the coordinates of the places filmed. This allows later use of the supplied software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
The dashcam comes with two self-adhesive holders, ideal for using the dashcam in multiple cars. The sturdy holder ensures that the dashcam stays in place and that recordings do not contain unnecessary vibrations. The holder is mounted on the windscreen with a 3M sticker and the dashcam is clicked into the holder. The camera is rotatable in all directions to position it properly.
The M27 2K dashcam features a convenient automatic parking mode with two options:
Time lapse (1fps): The camera films continuously at 1fps Time lapse, including any rear camera. In this mode, the camera takes a picture every second which is later played back as accelerated video. Time lapse is an economical recording mode which means that the dashcam does not consume too much power and data. Therefore, up to 30 times more videos can be stored on the SD card.
Collision wake up: The camera turns off when you turn off the car ignition and goes into standby mode until a vibration is detected by the G-sensor. In that case, a normal 1-minute recording is started.
* The automatic parking mode of the M27 2K only works in combination with the optionally available Nanocam NH03 permanent power supply and cannot be switched on and off manually. Combined with the permanent power supply, the camera automatically goes into parking mode when the car ignition is turned off and starts recording normally when you start the car again. So you have nothing to worry about after installation.
With loop recording, all recordings are saved in shorter 5-minute fragments. Once the SD card is full, the oldest videos are automatically deleted and overwritten for new recordings. As a result, the last rides are always stored on the SD card. When a tilling occurs, the current file will be protected so it cannot be overwritten.
This M27 2K has a wide-angle lens of 150˚ at the front and optionally 150˚ at the rear (not included as standard). As a result, a very large area is observed.
The Nanocam M27 2K dashcam automatically starts filming as soon as power comes on. So simply connect it with the car charger and you have nothing else to worry about. If your car provides permanent power via the cigarette power supply, it is wiser to use the permanent power supply to save the car battery.
Through its built-in G-sensor, the dashcam records collisions or violent vibrations. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are no longer lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The Nanocam M27 2K has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can be easily switched on and off at the touch of a button.
The date, time and licence plate number can be displayed at the bottom of each video. This way, it can later be clearly seen where, when and with which vehicle recordings were made.
This M27 dashcam comes with a handy 3.5-metre USB cigarette power supply with an extra USB port. This leaves you with an extra USB port for charging your phone.
