The Vantrue Element 1 (E1) is the bigger brother of the Vantrue E1 Lite. It films in 2K (QuadHD) and comes with convenient bluetooth SOS control. Like the Lite version, it is equipped with Wifi, GPS and an extended parking mode (if you connect it with the optional permanent power supply). With its super-small design, it won't look out of place in any car and is also barely noticeable.
This Vantrue E1 records in very sharp 2K QuadHD 2592*1944p recordings in 25fps. You can also set the resolution lower at 2560*1440p. Because of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) the contrast of the recordings is very good and the surroundings are recognizable even in the dark.
The Vantrue E1 comes standard with handy bluetooth SOS button. You place this button anywhere in the car and with one push of the button you can take photo and secure video or turn the microphone of the dashcam on and off.
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with a small 1.5-inch LCD screen on which the recordings are visible and you can easily operate the menu. The screen has a screensaver that activates after 1 minute so it won't bother you while driving. You can also turn the screen on and off with the spoken command Turn on screen" and "Turn off screen."
You can easily view the recorded videos within range of the dashcam (+/- 5 meters) on your smartphone via the Vantrue App for iOS or Android. The videos can be viewed live and you can download saved videos to your phone so you can share them directly. The menu is also easy to operate via the App to change settings very quickly.
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with GPS so that current speed and coordinates are tracked. The speed can be displayed at the bottom of each video if desired, and the film location and route can be viewed later via the App.
The Vantrue E1 allows you to control the dashcam via (English) voice commands. Through commands such as 'Make picture', 'Turn off screen', 'Turn on audio' and 'Lock the video' you can safely use the dashcam while driving and you will not miss a single incident.
Vantrue offers the ability to secure your car while parking. Connect your Vantrue dashcam with the OBD or 3-wire permanent power supply to power the dashcam even when the car is turned off. The power supply transmits a signal to the dashcam as soon as you turn off the car so that parking mode is automatically enabled.
The parking mode works only in combination with the OBD or 3-wire permanent power supply. In this power supply there is a protection device that interrupts the current at a certain voltage so you will not end up with a dead battery.
Vantrue has four shooting modes while parking:
Motion detection: Motion detection (with adjustable sensitivity) where the dashcam is on standby until a visual motion is detected in the image. After this, it records 5 seconds before and 30 seconds after the incident.
Collision detection: Vibration detection (with adjustable sensitivity) where the dashcam turns off until a vibration is detected. After this, the dashcam turns on, records for 1 minute and then turns off.
Low bitrate recording: Continuous recording in lower quality (720p or 1080p in 15fps) to save space on the SD card. As soon as a vibration is detected, a normal 1-minute recording is started.
Time lapse recording: Continuous recording in 1fps, 5fps, 10fps or 15fps to save space on the SD card. At 1fps, a 30-minute period is played back in 1 minute. As soon as a vibration is detected, a normal 1-minute recording is started.
The Vantrue E1 has a wide viewing angle of 160 degrees so that a very large area around the car is captured.
The Vantrue E1 attaches to the windshield with a convenient self-adhesive GPS holder with magnetic connection. The dashcam can be clicked in and out of this holder in one motion. To use your Vantrue E1 in multiple cars, an additional GPS holder is available (see accessories).
Connect the optional CPL (Polaroid) filter to your Vantrue dashcam to combat annoying reflections from the dashboard or interior. The filter can be placed on the dashcam in no time and is easily adjusted by turning it.
The Vantrue E1 has a built-in G-sensor. This sensor records vibrations in the event of a collision. The current video is stored securely in that case.
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with loop recording which automatically overwrites the oldest footage with new footage. The videos are stored in shorter fragments of 5 minutes and once the SD card is full the oldest fragment is deleted.
Protected recordings (manually selected or detected by the G-sensor) are stored in a separate folder and are not deleted by the loop recording. This way you always have access to the latest and most important videos.
Vantrue is one of the few dashcam brands with support for SD cards up to 512gb. With 512gb you can store up to 108 hours (over 4 days) of FullHD video. With higher resolution, the total recording time will be a bit shorter.
